On Saturday, Yuri Meneses and Mayara Menezes (no relation) were elected Rei e Rainha do Carnaval Multicultural in Recife, Brazil. Runners-up for Rainha were Geane Fernandes and Isis Santos. Runners-up for Rei were Digenes Alexandre and Ivan Pereira. Dean Harris was quite disappointed that the Rei was not crowned in his sunga this year.
