Miss Intercontinental 2011 crown goes to USA Jessica Hartman

Alicante Spain October 7.- In a live telecast from the historical Circus Theater at the extraordinary City of Orihuela, Spain, Jessica Hartman from the United States of America was crowned as Miss Intercontinental 2011defeating off the competition from 59 contestants.

The coveted tiara that the winner of the pageant is wearing is the most expensive crown used in all of the events of this nature, valued as it is at 335,000 USD.

The Crown was designed by FUQI CHINA and was inspired by water, the source of life, representing the natural beauty and purity of women. The design of the crown signifies the strength and the power and includes the woman of beauty.

The venue was fully booked; Miss Hartman dressed in a black and silver gown impressed the judges with her catwalk that was out of this world and also being the fifth Miss USA that won this pageant.

Miss Ethopia Bethlem Hailu Legrese won the Miss Intercontinental Africa, Miss China, Gong Rui won Miss Intercontinental Asia, Miss USA Jessica Hartman won the Miss Intercontinental Americas, Miss Spain Gloria Martinez won the Miss Intercontinental Europe and Miss Jamaica, Chavoy Gordon won the Miss Intercontinental Caribbean and that closed the count of the top five finalists at the 40th Anniversary of the beauty pageant.

Jessica Hatman replaces Miss Intercontinental 2010 Maydelise Columma from Puerto Rico who won the title in 2010 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The performers at the show were the Spanish flamenco dancer Rafael Amargo, Carlos Baute a Venezuelan singer and the Asturian gaita player Jos ngel Hevia and his band, the show was hosted by the Spanish actress and singer Maria Abradelo, and TV celebrities Marcela Ortega and .Jorge Ugarte.

The Miss Congeniality 2011 award went to Miss Egland Stefanie Hodson, the best body shape went to Miss Uruguay Patricia Callero and the Miss Photogenic 2011 award went to Miss Martinique Kathlyn Desire.

The best National Costume went to Miss Peru Silvana Vazquez
