MISS WORLD T&T 2011
CTNT World, 6-May-2011: Lee Ann Forbes has been crowned the 2011 Miss Trinidad and Tobago World. The 21 year old St James beauty bested her seven stunning counterparts to wear the crown at the 61st Miss World competition which is scheduled to take place in December this year at a location yet to be determined. She was crowned by Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Anil Roberts, at the Cascadia Hotel tonight. In addition to winning the crown and the opportunity to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the International Miss World Pageant, Miss Forbes walked away with a $10,000 necklace courtesy of The Gallery; one year's supply of makeup from Revlon Cosmetics; a $25,000 wardrobe from Peter Elias, Philipa, Carnaby Street and Micles; and a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the Tourism Development Company, which will go towards her development. She also won the Best Physique Award. The First Runner Up at the contest was Miss D'Abadie, Vinita Maharaj. Second Runner Up was Miss Santa Flora, Nisa Mohammed, and the Third Runner Up was Miss St Joseph, Ana Rosa Banfield. Two contestants received special awards at tonight's show. The Top Model Award, which includes a contract with New York-based Boss Models, went to 18 year old Nariba Edwards, Miss Oropouche. Miss Santa Flora, 21 year old Nisa Mohammed, received the prize for Miss Elegance.

Miss Star Sarawak 2011 bakal diadakan sempena ulang tahun pertama akhbar The Star Sarawak. Pertandingan bakal diadakan di Pullman Hotel, Kuching pada 2 September, 2011.
Proses pemilihan serta aktiviti memakan masa 6 bulan bermula dari 11 Mac serta merangkumi bandar-bandar utama di Sarawak seperti Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu dan Miri. Lihat jadual proses pemilihan di bawah:

Miss World 2011, the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant is scheduled to take place on November 8, 2011 in London. Miss World 2010, Alexandria Mills of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
The date and location for the 61st Miss World Final has been announced - 8th November 2011, in London, England.
The first Miss World event was created by Eric Morley in 1951 as part of his promotion of the Festival of Britain, which took place on the South Bank of the River Thames. Miss World is approaching its 60th birthday and wants to celebrate with a very special party by returning to where it all began on Londons South Bank. The special event will feature winners from the past and present, and we will be re-living some of the special moments and star names that have been a part of our 60 year history. Our celebrations will take contestants across the United Kingdom in the run-up to the final, to be held in London on Tuesday 8th November 2011.

MISS WHIZZER WHITENING STRIPS 2011
Last night Dervla Louli won the Miss Whizzer Whitening Strips 2011 pageant at a nightclub in Dublin, Ireland. Attending the pageant was Ireland's Mister World 2010, the hunky Kamal Ibrahim, who was recently informed he will continue his duties until 2012, when the next Mister World contest is set to be held. Miss Whizzer Whitening Strips is an official preliminary for Miss Universe Ireland, so we'll see Dervla dazzling smile again soon!
