Dean Harris and Prof. Chandni watched the livestream of Mister Switzerland 2011, which was very good...except for the technical difficulties at the end. It was like the 1972 Miss Universe pageant all over again. The screen went black right before the final announcement and some very nice music was put on. But in famous Swiss timing form, the very nice SF1 folks came on the chat and said in English and German that they were having techical difficulties and apologized.
That said, we were captivated by Luca. He showed not only his studly side...but also his scholarly side by winning the quiz section of the contest! In addition to the quiz, the contestants had to hammer nails into tree trunks. Luca's runner-up for the coveted title of Mister Switzerland 2011 was Michel de Carolis, 26. The other two finalists were Dominique Capraro, 22, and Pascal Breitenstein, 22. Miss Switzerland 1996 Tanja Guttmann was on of the co-hosts for the televised production.

Last night, like Rioja, Pontevedra also elected its guapos oficiales. The new Miss Pontevedra is Anglica Gonzlez, 25, 1m80, with blue eyes. Miguel de Anta, 24, 1m89, with green eyes, is the new Mister Pontevedra. Expect both to do well at Miss and Mister Spain 2011. The contest organizers were masters of social media, using Facebook to its maximum to promote the contest and engage fans. Elected Miss and Mister Facebook were Andrea Novo and Nstor Reinaldo. Miss Pontevedra runners-up were Noelia Fonseca and Milagros Pereira. Mister Pontevedra runners-up were Daniel Ase! nsio and Ruben Puertas.

OUR HEROES
Dean Harris and Prof. Chandni breakfasted together this morning. Over their whole wheat toast with Hero jam and hot cocoa (made with swiss chocolate, of course!), they poured over the pix of the Mister Switzerland 2011 contestants and agreed on these favorites. They predict one of these four will win, place, or show in tonite's contest. Beauty School's heroes for the Mister Switzerland 2011 title are Fabio Introvigne, Nicolas Scandamarre, Luca Ruch, and Sando De Mattio.
