Kathrin Kosch crowned Miss Germany 2011

23-year old Anne Kathrin Kosch was crowned Miss Germany 2011 during the annual pageant held in Rust, Hamburg, on Saturday Feb. 12th. She will represent Germany in Miss Earth 2011 beauty pageant.

Anne Kathrin works as a pharmaceutical technical assistant in a pharmacy located in her hometown, Weimar.

* The 1st runner-up was 22 year old Tiffany Sachs, who also won the Miss Internet title.

* The 2nd runner-up was 17 ear old Samantha Striegel from Hannover.

24 beautiful girls competed in the contest.

Harare girl Malaika Mushandu crowned Miss Zimbabwe 2011

Malaika Mushandu, Miss Zimbabwe 2011

18-year old Malaika Mushandu from Harare was crowned Miss Zimbabwe 2011 during a grand ceremony held at the International Conference Centre. New beauty queen , who is a student, stands 1.82 m tall and will represent Zimbabwe at Miss World 2011pageant to be held in December.

Rumbidzai Mudzengerere, Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2011

The 1st runner-up was Rumbidzai Mudzengerere, who crowned Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2011. She will represent the country at the Miss Tourism International 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on December 31.

Lisa Morgan, Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2011

The 2nd runner-up was Lisa Morgan, who received a sash named Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2011. However, she is expected to represent Zimbabwe at the World Miss University finals in Korea, since the Miss Zimbabwe pageant does not hold the license to send a contestant to the Miss Universe competition, as confirmed by the international organization.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH - MISS UNIVERSE TANZANIA 2007

In 2007, Flaviana Matata made Miss Universe history twice - she was the first delegate from Tanzania to ever compete in the pageant and she was the first bald delegate to ever make top 10 (let alone top 15). She made a bold statement then and she's making a bold statement now in her successful modeling career. She appeared in December 2010 issue of L'Officiel Paris and she's in the current issue of Dazed & Confused. Beauty School thinks Flaviana is fab and looks forward to seeing her in more glam fashion mags in the future. Flaviana, dear, Lorraine (Beauty School's Librarian) wants those shoes and hopes she can find a pair at the local Payless.

The 12 finalists for the 39 Reina Nacional del Mar title

Speaking of Miss Universo Buenos Aires, Dean Harris, who has a fondness for Argentina, would like to share with you other, miscellaneous Argentine pageants that will be held in the coming days and weeks.

The 39 Reina Nacional del Mar will be elected next week. 12 women are competing for the coveted title. Yesica Di Vicenzo, Miss Universe Argentina 2010 and 2006's Reina Nacional del Mar, is one of the judges.

The Reina Nacional de la Vendimia will be elected on March 5. The pageant is an integral part of the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia (The Grape Harvest Festival) which has taken place since 1936 in Mendoza, Argentina. The country is the 5th largest producer of wine in the world, and the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia is a world-renowned celebration of wine and the winemaking industry.

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe pageant has been broken down into three different categories to conform to the international paradigm. This means the pageant winner will be called Miss Zimbabwe.

The final of Miss Zimbabwe 2011 will be held on February 12, 2011. Thirty-four beautiful girls are vying for the titles. Samantha Tshuma Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2010 (photo above) will pass her crown to her successor at the end of the event.

The New beauty queen will be crowned as Miss Zimbabwe 2011 and will represent Zimbabwe in Miss World 2011 pageant to be held in Winter 2011.

The 1st Runner-up will be crowned as Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2011 and will represent Zimbabwe in Miss Tourism International 2011 pageant.
