The new Miss Switzerland 2011 is Alina Buchschacher. She won the highly-coveted title tonite during a glittering, televised gala held at the Centro Esposizioni in Lugano. Alina has Caribbean roots - her mother was born in Trinidad and Tobago. First runner-up was Julie Fluckiger and second runner-up was Ashley Balmer. The emcees were Matteo Pelli, a noted TV host, and Xenia Tchoumitcheva, Miss Switzerland 2006 first runner-up. The jury included two former Miss Switzerland titleholders, Miss Switzerland 1997 Tanja Gutmann and Miss Switzerland 2008 Whitney Toyloy.

Bunga Jelitha, Super model from Indonesia, won the 1st version of the Supermodel of Asia Pacific held at the Royal Orchid Sheraton in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 19th. A total of 33 super models from 20 countries took part, including two top Thai models, Rosatorn and Araya.
The Supermodel of Asia Pacific was founded and organized by Mr.Pradit Pradinunt, and Il & Elle Organize Company Limited with the support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

MISS BIKINI WORLD/HAWAII MALAYSIA 2011 IN PANGKOR ISLAND MALAYSIA OCTOBER 7!?....
IPOH: The Perak Government is not involved in organising Miss Bikini/World Hawaii at Pangkor Island Beach Resort scheduled for Oct 7 and 8, said state Tourism and Women's Affairs Committeechairman Datuk Hamidah Osman.
She said the Manjung district council had been ordered to stop the planned beauty pageant as it did not have a permit.
She was commenting on a re-port that the resort was planning to host Miss Bikini/World Hawaii 2011 Malaysia and Malaysia Club DJ Mixing Challenge 2011 Natio-nal Grand Final as part of the Full Moon Beach Party with special packages offered to guests. - Bernama
